Terms of Service

1. Agreement
These terms govern your use of the Tastefully iPhone app and this website. By using Tastefully you accept them. You must be at least 18 years old to use the app.
The Tastefully iOS app is licensed under Apple's Standard End User License Agreement (EULA).
2. What Tastefully does
Tastefully helps you present yourself better on social media. It builds ordered sets of photos from your camera roll, and it produces a written read and a set of scores for a public Instagram profile. Everything it produces is generated by an automated system and is offered as an opinion, not as fact.
3. Your account
A guest account is created when a feature needs an authenticated connection, such as looking up a profile. Completing onboarding requires signing in with Apple or Google and an active subscription. Sign-in normally links your guest account, or opens your existing Tastefully account if that identity is already registered. You are responsible for keeping access to that identity. Account sign-in can restore account-linked data, but your locally stored dump photos and drafts are not a Tastefully cloud backup and may not survive a reinstall or move to another phone.
4. Your photos
You keep every right you already had in the photos you select. You grant us the permission needed to provide the features you request: to copy selected photos into local app storage, transmit reduced-size copies to our service and analysis provider, process them and return a result, and export images to Photos when you choose. Our backend does not permanently store uploaded dump-photo files. Local copies, scan images and provider processing have different retention rules, described in our Privacy Policy. You must not upload photos you do not have the right to use, and you must not upload material that is illegal, or that sexualises anyone under 18.
5. Scanning profiles
Tastefully can scan public Instagram profiles, including profiles that are not yours. In doing so you are directing us to process information about another person, and you are responsible for that instruction. You agree to scan only public profiles, only for your own personal and non-commercial use, and not to use any output to harass, stalk, discriminate against, or make employment, credit, housing, insurance or similar decisions about anybody. We may refuse or remove any scan.
6. What the output is and is not
Scores, reads and photo orderings are produced by an automated system. They may be wrong, unflattering, inconsistent between runs, or plainly odd. They are not professional advice of any kind, and they are not a judgment of anybody's worth. Do not rely on them to make decisions that matter. We do not promise any particular outcome, on Instagram or anywhere else.
7. Subscriptions and payment
Tastefully offers auto-renewing subscriptions purchased through your Apple Account and billed by Apple. The paywall and Apple purchase sheet show the price, billing period and any offer before you confirm. A free onboarding preview, where available, is separate from full subscription access. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled under Apple's terms. You can open Apple's subscription-management screen from Profile → Manage subscription, or use your Apple Account settings. If you accept a trial and do not want it to renew, Apple instructs you to cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. See Apple's cancellation instructions.
Apple handles refund requests for App Store purchases; eligibility depends on Apple's process and applicable consumer rights. See Apple's refund instructions. If something on our side clearly failed and Apple declines, write to us and we will do what we reasonably can. Profile → Restore purchases checks for existing subscription access; restoring a purchase does not create a new subscription.
Certain features are limited per account: new paid dumps have a monthly allowance, scans use a rolling seven-day allowance, and each dump has a limited number of retakes. Retakes do not count as new dumps. These limits exist to keep the service viable and may change; where a change reduces what you already pay for, we will tell you before it takes effect.
8. Acceptable use
- Do not attempt to bypass the paywall, the device checks, or any account limit.
- Do not automate, scrape, resell or redistribute the service or its output.
- Do not reverse engineer the app except where that right cannot lawfully be excluded.
- Do not use Tastefully to break the law or to violate Instagram's own terms.
9. Ownership
The app, the website, the brand and everything we generate for you as a service remain ours. You may use the output for your own personal purposes, including posting it. You may not present Tastefully's output as a professional assessment of anybody.
10. Deleting your account
You can delete your account from Profile → Delete account, or request deletion by emailing support@tastefully.app. The Privacy Policy explains what is removed, which limited records remain, and how to request removal of historical analytics. We handle emailed deletion requests within 30 days, subject to the retention and legal obligations described there. Deleting the app from your phone does not delete data held on our servers. Account deletion does not remove images already exported to Photos and does not cancel a subscription bought through Apple. Cancel that separately through Manage subscription or your Apple Account settings.
11. Availability
Tastefully is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available in any particular territory, and we may change or withdraw features.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, for lost profits or opportunities, or for any loss arising from your reliance on the app's output or from another person's reaction to it. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury, or fraud, and nothing here removes consumer rights you have by law in your own country.
13. Suspension
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, abuses the service, or puts other people at risk.
14. Changes
We may update these terms. If a change is material we will update the effective date above and tell you in the app. Continuing to use Tastefully after that means you accept the new terms.
